With the Catholic Workers Movement Uganda, a country-wide social and church association, development of a three-level federation of savings and loan associations (SLAs) within their organisation. This unique model is called Raiffeisen-SLA federation since the key to its success comprises three elements that also play a vital role in the success of the German cooperative Raiffeisen system: 1.) a rigorous three-level internal audit, self-monitoring & evaluation system; 2.) a practical concept/tool for business financial-planning; and 3.) linkage-banking.
